This is a group for anyone interested in breaking a sweat while meeting new people in the Reno-Sparks area! All events posted are free to the public and open to everyone. Events include anything from yoga to cardio dance to cross-training to runs to hikes...and more!
We do not charge our group members a Meetup membership fee, but any donations made to this group are much appreciated and applied to the cost of administrating this group on Meetup (the annual fee). Thank you!

Group Hike: Galena Creek Trail
Galena Creek Trailhead, 5390 Double Creek Ct, Reno, NV 89511, Reno, NV, USJoin Kaia FIT Sierra for a fun group hike along Galena Creek Trail during our end-of-BRIK weekend!
We'll be hiking west along the trail and back, starting at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 18, with Coach Shannon.
Please plan on arriving early to ensure that the entire group heads out on time.
This is a free Share The Love-style event that is open to men and women. Children are welcome as long as they can handle this level of hiking. Dogs also welcome as long as they interact well with other dogs.

GALENA CREEK TRAIL:
This is a 4.7-mile heavily trafficked out-and-back trail located south of Reno that features a river and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for walking, trail running, and mountain biking.
The trail starts in the Phillip & Annie Callahan Park and continues west through a neighborhood and a golf course.
DIRECTIONS:
Head south on I-580. Take Exit 24 to merge onto NV-431 W and merge onto NV 431/Mt Rose Hwy. Turn left onto Callahan Road. Phillip & Annie Callahan Park will be on the right side of the road.

Kaia FIT Sierra is a women's fitness and nutrition program with four Reno-Sparks locations that operate as one, while also offering live-stream and on-demand workout options. Our group fitness class types range across at least eight different varieties (Cross-Training, TRX, Barre, Cycle, Group Walk/Jog/Run, Yoga-Pilates, Cardio Dance, and Lift) with options for EVERY ability level in every class.
The Kaia FIT program is designed to increase your fitness level and to get you excited about exercising and eating healthy. Finding camaraderie during these sessions is a vital component to everyone’s success. When you join Kaia, no girl is left behind because you’re a part of our tribe!

Beer-Mosa Yoga in South Reno

Join Coach Caren, owner of Kaia FIT Sierra, in a FREE, hourlong Beer-Mosa Yoga session at Piñon Bottle (15415 Wedge Pkwy. #100) in south Reno! We'll be there at 11 a.m. on the fourth Saturday of each month.
Don't worry ... we won't make you chug while you chaturanga. This is an all-abilities-welcome yoga workout that gives you opportunities to sip beer, mimosas or another beverage while you flow.
Everyone 21 and older is welcome! Men and women!
Please bring a yoga mat, and wear comfortable clothing. You can purchase a beer or minimumat Piñon. You will be asked to sign in on a sign-in sheet when you arrive.
