Update 3/26 with more details:
Friday - set up camp; gather around the campfire at my site after dinner on your own, to hang out and talk about who wants to do what Saturday. Fire will be started about 6:30.
Saturday - do what you like! Bring your own kayak or canoe and paddle in the lake; check out Conneaut Lake, area wineries, pedal the Ernst Trail — all about a 20 minute drive away. Or just chill out at camp. It’s probably smart to plan on a trail lunch.
Saturday dinner - potluck at my campsite. Please share in the comments what you will bring. Cooking fire will be started about 5:30.
Sunday - breakfast on your own; pack a trail lunch. Meet Doug at the dam at 11am for a 12 mile bike ride and 5 mile hike. You can change clothes and/or shoes in your car after the bike ride and before the hike, if you like. Pack up before the bike & hike, since you may not return by check-out time.

Original post:
Member Doug D. told me about this sweet little spot, Lake Wilhelm.
This is a nice way to get ourselves ready for an active summer. We can bicycle the 12 mile John C. Oliver loop around Lake Wilhelm.
There are two cabins and 3 bunkhouses available at Camp Wilhelm, as well as 6 tent sites, (4 with electricity and water), 3 pop-up sites, (but you can pitch a tent - it's gravel). There are camper sites available also in another area, but that's fine, it's not far. (You may be able to talk them into letting you put your camper on a pop-up site). Campers with campers can bring pets.
I've reserved tent site #4 for both nights, in the "Heaven's Nest" area. Cabins require 2 nights but you can do everything else for just one night if you like. To make campground reservations, call 724-253-2886 and let them know you are with "Linda's group," and what you want to do.
There is a camp store with firewood and ice, and showerhouses. Alcohol needs to be kept at the campsite and used with discretion.
Cancellations can be made up to two weeks before check-in date. Within that two week period, you have to pay 30%.

We can plan more as the date gets closer, but I'm thinking about meeting for a picnic lunch both Saturday and Sunday, and having a campfire potluck dinner Saturday night.
