Friends in Dusseldorf

Join us for a warm, open-hearted evening where we each share a little about someone we love — a partner, friend, family member, mentor, or even an artist or author who’s had a positive impact on us.

We’ll use conversation prompts and Liberating Structures to make sharing easy and meaningful.

This is a limited member event, please register only if you are sure about attending. Kindly be on time, this will allow us to have maximum time to get to know each other. Members who are “No shows” will be removed from the group.

The fee to use event venue will be 5€ per person.

Language Café at Brot & Spielen – Every Two Weeks!
Tired of talking to yourself in Duolingo? Come chat with real people instead! Are you learning a new language, looking to improve your skills, or just want to brush off some dust of your knowledge in a relaxed, social setting? Then join us at our Language Café – a welcoming space for all language lovers & for all levels!

First meetup: Tuesday, May 28th, then biweekly
Location: Brettspielcafé Brot & Spielen
Time: 18:00–22:00

Whether you're a beginner, fluent speaker, or anything in between – everyone is welcome!
During registration, you’ll be asked which languages you speak and which ones you're learning. At the event, we’ll create language groups using stickers and table signs, so it’s easy to find your crew and start chatting. There is a attendance fee of 5€ per person. Cake, coffee and snacks are available to help your brain work.

Come by to practice, learn, and most importantly, have fun. No pressure – just good conversations, maybe some games, and new connections.

The Sequoia Farm in Kaldenkirchen-Nettetal is a more than 35,000 square meter arboretum with a fascinating history. Europe's first sequoia cultivation began here. Today, it is home to 63-year-old mountain redwoods, a unique grove of coast redwoods, dawn redwoods, and more than 400 other rare tree species.

We will meet at 10am on the parking lot next to Starbucks in Lierenfeld, drive by car to Kaldenkirchen, where we will visit the Sequoiafarm and enjoy the beautiful nature on a hike around Kaldenkirchen (~11km) and then drive back to Düsseldorf.

_So far, we are 2 drivers and have 7 free seats. If we find more drivers, we can increase the number of participants on this event. Please contact me if you have a car and free seats. We will split the cost for gas evenly amongst all participants.
