Come join us get our steps in - Janet will be our event host to lead our walk along the Middlesex Greenway.

Let’s walk on the Middlesex Greenway in Metuchen, NJ it’s a great paved trail for a walk. Currently, the trail runs from Metuchen through Edison to Woodbridge -we'll be walking 2 miles round trip.

We’ll meet and begin our walk at the parking lot located at 691-707 Middlesex Ave, Metuchen, NJ 08840. The path stretches out flat and wide, hemmed in by native plantings and giant trees. Mile-marker posts whiz by every 0.25 mile, along with a sign to let trail users know which of the three municipalities you are in at that time narrating the history of the railroad and the region. Rain may postpone the walk- if necessary we'll update you via comments.

Afterwards, if you have time, there’s a Starbuck’s located across the street from the parking lot to enjoy a drink together after our walk or there are restaurants within walking distance if we decide to have lunch.

Come revisit an old trail or see something new or see how a once industrial corridor can be changed into a park-like setting while enjoying a spring day.

Let's get together and spend some time getting to know each while having a cuppa and/or a bite to eat. Join us for some laughs and conversation with new friends and getting to know each other better.

Let's meet in front of Nordstrom on the first floor in front of Ebar Artisan Coffee. They have tables outside of there. If you don't like that coffee, there is also a Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts as well as a few other places in the mall.

NOTE - this event sold out every weekend for the last few years. This is a Rain or Shine event. This vendor has a strict no refund. The best thing to do is to reach out directly to Holland Ridge Farms with any questions you might have about visiting the farm.

I'm buying my ticket at the beginning of that week (Monday) to be sure I'm not shut out of the event or rained out I recommend you consider doing the same.

DAY OF EVENT INFORMATION:
Meet @10:45AM in front of the ticket booths in main parking lot at farm.
Once inside (11AM ish) we’ll head directly to the picnic table area for an early lunch. Any latecomers can find us there until around noon. Please if your plans change please let us know by either Direct Message or post to in comments.

Then onto the events after lunch:
We have our choice of taking a hayride, visiting the farm animals, shopping in the gift barn, taking pictures & selfies or strolling through the fields picking flowers. If we have a large group, we can break into smaller groups to visit different activities at the same time so you can choose what you want to do. Estimated time at the farm until 2PM ish - you are welcome to stay until closing. Some people are talking about driving to nearby Cream Ridge Winery to relax, sip some wine and continue the conversation afterwards as an option- we can decide when there.

Suggestions of what you might want to bring with you to transport your flowers home: Bouquet bag or Plastic Amazon bag, jug of water, elastic bands to transport the stems home. A small box or plastic grocery bag to protect your car while driving home.
