Gallery and Museum Goers

This is the opening Reception showcasing new exhibits from amazing local artists all across DC, Maryland and Virginia. (I happen to have artwork in this exhibit, but it includes many other
DMV-area artists).

During the Opening Reception prizes will be awarded. All pieces of art will be on display throughout our Galleries and online at Hill Center Galleries.

The exhibitions run from January 15th through May 3rd.

UPDATE: tickets for this talk are sold out, however, the museum is still open late and entry is free on this night (no ticket required). Sometimes there are no-shows and you can wait at standby to attend - I have done this before successfully. I’m updating the event to begin at 5pm so that we can meet and view the exhibits together. Those with tickets to the talk can go to the auditorium at 6:30pm, but the museum is open to everyone else until 8pm. We have been very flexible at these meets, understanding that everyone has schedules and circumstances. Please just comment to update everyone as best you can and we’ll do our best to find you whenever you’re able to arrive.

This is Third Thursday at The Phillips Collection (one of my favorite DC art museums), which is a reoccurring monthly event in which they offer extended hours. This is in conjunction with their conversation series, this time taking place between artist Derrick Adams and artist Zoë Charlton on artists supporting artists.
This is also an opportunity to check out the museum for free, as the Phillips is normally paid entry.
The talk begins at 6:30pm. There is a reception with treats afterwards.
