Welcome to GenX United STL, the social Meetup group designed specifically for those of us born between 1965 and 1980—the original “MTV Generation.”
We are a welcoming community for singles and couples alike, where real connections are formed through shared experiences, laughter, and genuine friendship. Whether you are looking to meet new people or just stepping out and having a little fun, GenX United STL is the perfect place to make it happen.
Our group’s motto is simple but powerful: "Alone we can do so little; TOGETHER we can do so much." We strive to keep our group intimate and personal—small enough to create meaningful relationships but large enough to offer a variety of experiences.
Throughout the year, we will host a variety of events - Dinners, Brunches, Concerts, Float trips, Festivals, Movie nights, Game nights, and more. This is your chance to rediscover the joy of socializing with people who understand your unique perspective on life.
We want to make this an enjoyable experience for everyone, so there are no membership fees required to join. However, since organizers pay Meetup for this site, we gladly accept donations and anything leftover will be used toward incidentals with running group events.
Respect and commitment are key. If you RSVP, please plan on attending. Repeated NO SHOWS or last-minute cancellations disrupt the experience for others and will result in removal from the group.
Members who have not attended an event within 6 months of joining or in the last 6 months will be considered inactive and removed from the group.
All members must upload a profile photo that displays a clear and in-focus headshot.
As organizers, we are committed to making this a safe, enjoyable space. There will be zero tolerance for harassment, bullying, whiners, or any disrespectful behavior. Offenders will be removed immediately—this is about creating a positive environment for everyone. Organizers reserve the right to remove members at any time and for any reason.
By signing up for an event, you agree to assume responsibility for your own safety and transportation as well as for your guest. Organizers and Meetup are NOT liable for any injuries, loss, or damages that may occur, arising directly or indirectly or as a consequence from a group event or activity.
