Intermediate Japanese reading skill or higher is necessary to participate in this event

### Reading Event Structure

1. Warm-up: Start with brief introductions and a friendly chat to get warmed up.
2. Reading Format:

• Turn-Taking: As planned, take turns reading paragraphs or dialogues. This keeps everyone engaged.
• Pairing: Pair non-native speakers with native speakers for real-time corrections and support.

3. Correction Guidelines:

• Encourage a positive and constructive environment. Native speakers can gently correct pronunciation, intonation, or grammar.

4. Discussion Points: After reading, have a brief discussion about the content. This can include themes, vocabulary, or personal reactions to the text.
5. Wrap-Up: Conclude with a summary of what was learned or enjoyed during the session.

We will provide digital copies of materials for each lesson. You can either print them out in advance or view them on your devices such as an iPad or phone.

We'll be using a beginner-level textbook and other resources to learn grammar and vocabulary. A member who speaks advanced French will help with grammar, translation, and pronunciation.

Please only attend if you have a genuine interest in learning French. Upper-beginner to intermediate level is recommended.

You must have chat enabled to receive my apartment number. Also, due to the high no-show rate of new members, existing members may be prioritized over new members on the waitlist. Thanks for understanding.

We will be studying the textbook Genki and working on memorizing 50 Hiragana and Katakana characters. Afterward, we’ll enjoy snacks, a movie, games, or other fun activities related to Japanese culture!

For Japanese participants interested in learning English, you will read the English sections and ask related questions to practice and improve your skills.
