At Gloucester Book Club, we celebrate the written word in all its forms. Whether you’re a seasoned bibliophile or a curious novice, our cozy nook welcomes you with open arms. Here, we dive into novels, non-fiction, and everything in between.

Monthly Read: Each month, we select a literary gem to devour together.  Mostly contemporary bestsellers, our choices span genres and eras. Get ready for lively discussions, passionate debates, and the occasional “plot twist” revelations!

Whether you prefer hard copies, or e-books, or audiobooks, whether you read by candlelight or under neon signs, Gloucester Book Club invites you to join our literary adventure. Let’s turn pages together, explore distant lands, and find solace in the written word.

Our group is for anyone over the age of 25, living in or around Gloucester, who's interested in reading, and discussing good books.

FEES: There is an annual membership fee of £20 per year. The membership year runs from 1 September to 31 August. If you join throughout the year you will pay a pro-rata fee for fairness. Meetup has significantly increased its fees this year and this has led to a new mode of collecting membership subscriptions. If fees remain outstanding 30 days after joining, your membership will be terminated.
