Our Purpose
Golf SL,UT is based in Salt Lake City but we don't always stay in SLC. We are geared towards new and seasoned active* golfers who love golf without being uptight.  We respect good etiquette, but can handle a little music in the background, accidental noise in the backswing, an expletive here and there, and what is golf without some big laughs. There is no need to throw clubs or tantrums because we are just amateur golfers who are just not good enough to get mad. Sure you will have a blow up hole here and there its understandable however, if the tantrums are excessive removal is warranted no questions asked.  Golf SL,UT wants to provide an environment and atmosphere that is welcoming for all level of players without the serious golf vibe or angry golfers.

Why Join Golf SL,UT?
If you are new to the game it can be a daunting experience.  Golf SL,UT will gladly take the time to show you the ropes of golf and make the game more enjoyable and less intimidating in a safe environment.

Or perhaps you are a seasoned golfer who is looking for the fun noncompetitive side of golf with the occasional pick up game.

What We Do
Golf SL,UT plays golf on different golf courses throughout the season and not just along the Wasatch Front.  Occasionally events will be set up outside the Wasatch Front for a day trip or even multi-day golf trips around the state and surrounding areas.  Golf is what we do so why stick to one golf course.

Golf SL,UT provide different type of social events for all golfers.  Events include but not limited to events geared towards beginners, social golf events for all golfers, and from time to time a friendly competitive game. Please understand what type of event you are signing up for and accept the intention of that event.

Our Event Organizers set up tee times and all you need to do is RSVP**, pay for your round of golf and swing a club.  Its up to you if you make contact with the ball, preferably a golf ball.

*Golf SL, UT charges a one time fee to join the group to ensure members will be active and to help offset the cost of using Meetup. In addition we also take donations and any funds left over we find a way to give back to the members. This group is for active golfers and members are subject to removal from the group if not active.

**RSVP/Waitlist Policy**
Life can throw unexpected curves and if you RSVP'd and can't make it please update your status sooner rather than later so the Hosts can update the count with the Golf Course. Golf Courses reserve the right to charge for any unused tee times [thanks Covid]. Golf SL,UT will proudly ask you to pay for your discretion and reserves the right to allow you not to play until fee has been paid.

IF you find yourself on the waitlist please check to see if you have cleared at a time frame that allows you to get to the event on time and ready to play. Do not count on Meetup or the Event Hosts to send out notifications that someone has cleared the waitlist.

If you are going to an event with a waitlist present and you do not change your status to 'Not Going' [preventing a fellow member from attending] and no-show the event. The next event that has a waitlist in which you are 'Going' you may be moved to the 'Waitlist', Its a 1:1 infraction.

**NO-SHOW Policy**
Organizers understand that life happens and you can't always adjust your RSVP status in time. All we ask is to update your status as soon as you can and if you are unable to prior to the event to at least reach out to the organizer and let them know you were unable to update RSVP. We are not keepers of your personal calendars so please do your part to help out the organizers. No-shows are recorded and if it becomes problematic Golf SL,UT reserves the right to remove you from the group without warning.
