The goal of this group is to provide a regular space for folks who are in tech to gather and share information on topics of interest.
We have set up a channel for GJT in the Western Slope Technologists Slack team - #community-grand-junction

- Finding that tough to hire skill

During Western Slope Startup Week Neil Forcier gave a soup-to-nuts talk on Internet of Things and how to get started. By this I mean he talked about
- how to easily build a prototype device
- how to collect data in various cloud platforms
- how to get your device built.
Neil fielded dozens (not an exaggeration) of questions during the talk that added immense depth to his content. Bring your questions!

Explore the tools, platforms, and approaches available to help inventors and entrepreneurs rapidly develop IoT (Internet of Things)- based designs. This includes a focus on open-source tools and how to leverage the vast knowledge of the global electronic maker community.
Attendees will walk away with:- Understanding of the hardware and software parts needed to develop an IoT solution
- Overview of easy-to-use IoT development tools available today to rapidly build your proof of concept design
- A tutorial on a cloud-based IoT setup that you can deploy yourself and build on
Whether you're an experienced founder/developer or just starting, this session will equip you with the knowledge and tools to confidently create and deploy your own IoT solutions, and leverage the power of open-source platforms and global maker communities.
