The full moon in April 2025, also known as the "Pink Moon" or "Paschal Moon",
The full moon always lies opposite the sun in the sky. Consequently, it is visible all night. All full moons rise along the eastern horizon close to the time of sunset. Likewise, all full moons set along the western horizon close to the time of sunrise. At full moon, the sun, Earth, and the moon align in space, with Earth in the middle. And, the moon’s day side – its fully lighted hemisphere – directly faces us. That is why the moon appears full.

We schedule the moonwalk when the moon can be seen in the Early evening. So you can be home and be tucked into bed.
Hike distance is 2-21/2 miles and 1-1/2 - 2 hours with time for a bite to eat afterwards.
We can make arrangements for a light dinner and drinks after the hike at local restaurant.
Flashlight or lighting is required. Wear appropriate hiking gear and clothing.
