Join us for a unique outdoor adventure where you'll connect with nature and explore the world of herbalism on the beautiful Mountain-Bay Trail. This hands-on workshop is designed to guide you through the process of foraging for wild medicinal herbs and creating your own herbal salves.
During the workshop, you'll embark on a 1-2 hour foraging adventure, exploring the woods to identify and gather wild medicinal herbs. You'll also watch a live demonstration on creating herbal oil infusions and participate in a salve-making session using pre-dried herbs. As a takeaway, you'll receive a comprehensive guidebook, a salve recipe booklet, and a sample handmade herbal salve.
The event takes place on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at 8:00 AM at Mountain-Bay Trail, located at 904-942 Lakeview Drive, Howard, WI 54313. The cost is $20, which includes the hike, class, and all take-home materials.
To prepare, dress comfortably with shoes suitable for walking in the woods, and consider wearing pants to protect against scratches and bugs. Bring water, a trail snack, and a basket or paper bag to collect your herbs. Be sure to check the weather forecast and dress accordingly.
