What we’re about
Welcome to GRWebDev powered by LaFleur!
We are a group of web developers in the Grand Rapids, MI area. We discuss all aspects of developing for the web, from HTML, CSS, and Javascript to design, user experience, usability, accessibility, and tools.
Whether you write code, write content, design, or manage, when you work on the web there is a lot of common ground. Join us to learn from each other about best web practices, cross-browser compatibility, Javascript frameworks, style hacks, project management, and other web-related topics.
Our meetup is for the community, by the community. If there is a topic you would like to present, we'd love to hear from you! Submit a presentation idea here: https://forms.gle/p8YWaaGLBAR4XZVb8

As technologists (or even just as humans), we're surrounded by all sorts of "free" tools, software, and libraries. But what does "free" mean, exactly? What price are we, in fact, paying to use these resources... not to mention the price to be paid by our clients? This month at GRWebDev, we’ll take a closer look at the resources we use to build digital products and the implications of using those resources from a financial, legal, and security perspective. Join us in person at Start Garden in downtown Grand Rapids; we’ll kick things off at 6pm on Monday, January 27th.
