What we’re about
We're a hiking group and maybe a little bit more. Our goal is to get you up and active, make new friends and find your community.
We have hikes of different levels from beginner right through advanced. Don't see something you like? Volunteer to host your own hike - We strive to cover all across the GTA and always looking for quality hike leaders.
We also plan bigger activities throughout the year (hence the "Stuff") - Camping, BBQs, Kayaking, snowshoeing, tobogganing etc.
If you are looking to get out of the house more and haven't hiked much in the past, or if you have been out a few times, or even if you are advanced and looking for some harder trails, this group is for you.
Welcome to the group... go ahead and RSVP for one of our upcoming events!
This group is sponsored by Senior Executive Consulting.

See all- [Hike Intermediate 12km] Lost in the woods + lunch!Harold Town Conservation Area, Peterborough, ON
Yup, it's my favourite far-away-crazy-trail-names hike! Yes it's east of Peterborough. And yes it's so totally worth the drive!
This will be a longer-than-usual distance, but almost all of it is very easy. We'll take lots of short breaks.
We did this trail a few times last season, and I got lost each and every time. At this point, I know two things: how to get lost, and how to get found. So that's the plan. We'll hike my favourite parts, until I don't know where I am, and then we'll shortcut out.
The terrain in Harold Town is marvelous. It's a trail that's maintained by the Peterborough mountain bikers, so there are ramps and switchbacks everywhere! There is flat terrain, hilly terrain, weird terrain, and twisty terrain. There are gorgeous views from the top, and wooded tall canopy views from within.
A 5-minute drive away is the Silver Bean Cafe's second location within the lobby of the Canadian Canoe Museum. Exquisite drinks, perfect soups, and many sandwiches. Free parking is across the street.
Parking
There is a hidden parking lot, free, on the south side of Norwood rd., between Burnham and Drummond. Some mapping programs incorrectly mark it a full block west of reality.Fall Hiking Season Information:

Please note that as we get into winter hiking with snow and slippery trails, we consider proper Crampons to be mandatory. I intend to sell them from my car later in the fall season. The event host can ask you not to participate if you don't have proper footwear including Crampons. More Crampon Information.LEGAL DISCLAIMER AND LIABILITY INFORMATION:
