What we’re about
Welcome… Thank you for your interest in being a part of our group. Our goal in this group of (45+) individuals is to have a great time enjoying life, good friends, and varied adventures. We look forward to both meeting you soon and your participation in some of our fun events.
The group events include, but are not limited to, happy-hours, game nights, live music with dancing events, movie nights, picnics, and exploring all that Southern California has to offer. All of our Event Hosts are volunteers, they are hosting events because they enjoy the activity, and want others to share this enjoyment. We welcome and encourage you to try new activities with this group.
Your annual membership fee comes back to you via food, beverages, party supplies, other event incidentals, and it also helps with the fees that Meetup charges us just to organize this group.
The group has a few "requirements" noted below to make sure that everyone has both a positive and fun experience. ALL members must comply...
1) A clear, centered, close-up face (neck to top of head only) photo. Think of a "passport photo", NO sunglasses, hats, pets, or distracting background, and clearly show your facial features, so that we can recognize your smiling face at events.
2) You have the Meetup messaging feature enabled, so that we can contact you if needed.
3) Answer all four (4) of the questions on your member profile page.
4) We expect our members to change their event RSVP to “Not Going” from “Going,” at least three (3) days prior to an event, especially for events that have a Waiting List. “No Shows” for an event are inconsiderate to other members, especially when there is a Waiting List. Members who have three (3) “No Shows” will automatically be removed from future events for which there is a Waiting List, should they be on the “Going” list.
5) Do not send unsolicited messages to members. If a group member complains about receiving such messages from you, you will be “removed” from the group.
6) A person is only allowed to be a "guest" and participate in a group event a maximum of two (2) times, then the guest must request to be a paid regular member, and comply with all of the aforementioned requirements.

When you RSVP for our events, you assume all of the risks of participating in any/all activities associated with the Meetup "Guys & Gals Adventures" group.
Your participation in an event certifies that you are physically fit, are able bodied to participation in the activity, and have not been advised to not participate by a qualified medical professional. You certify that there are no health-related reasons or problems which preclude your participation in any of the activities.
You acknowledge that any of our activities may involve a test of a person's physical and/or mental limits, and carries with it the potential for death, serious injury, and property loss. The risks include, but are not limited to, those caused by terrain, facilities, temperature, weather, condition of participants, equipment, vehicular traffic, lack of hydration, and actions of other persons including, but not limited to, participants, volunteers, monitors, and/or organizers of the activity.
