Welcome to our very social group who enjoy getting outdoors and having wonderful conversations as we hike the trails! We are a hiking group sharing the trails in the Hamilton Area. Our purpose is to go out on hikes and enjoy the beautiful trails around Hamilton. All skill levels are welcome. We will do beginner, intermediate, and intermediate/advanced hikes with the possibility of advanced hikes as well. I started this group to enjoy the trails with other outdoor enthusiasts. Looking forward to exploring the outdoors with everyone.
We have hikes, cycling, plus social events: mostly in the mornings and weekends for the hikes and days or evenings for the social events.
NEW MEMBERS POLICY:

PLEASE join our group for we have a lot of fun and are a very social group. Our group is one of the many different groups that you can belong to at the same time. HOWEVER, if you are a hike leader and/or maintain any leadership role with another hiking group then unfortunately I have a policy that you will not be able to join our group.
Cancellations/No Shows:
If you need to change your reservation please do as soon as you are able so that another member on the waiting list has as much time as possible to know that they can join the hike! Also If you do not show up for a hike and don`t change your reservation you will be marked as a "no show". If you have three "no show`s" you will be removed from the group. If you are on your way to the hike and have a problem, phone or text me, to let me know that you can not make it for the hike. My phone number is: 905-745-3076. Thank you.
PLEASE BE ON TIME FOR THE HIKE: WE WILL ONLY WAIT 5 MINS. BEFORE WE START. IF YOU ARE LATE WITHOUT NOTIFYING ME {OR ANY FUTURE HIKE LEADER} YOU WILL BE MARKED AS A "NO SHOW". Also note: IN THE WINTER MONTHS WE DO NOT WAIT FIVE MINUETS. YOU HAVE TO HAVE ALL YOUR GEAR ON AND BE READY TO START RIGHT AT THE STATING TIME OF THE HIKE. WE DO NOT WAIT FOR ANYONE IN THE WINTER!
Fees:
The fee for joining the group is $12.00 per year. That`s only $1.00 per month for multiple hikes and adventures. The fee covers the meetup site fees also a lot of time goes into organizing and hosting the hikes. Since the group is growing soon there will be event organizers to host more hikes. I do not want them to have the responsibility of collecting your membership fee therefore: You are required to pay your membership fee within one week of joining the group. To pay your membership fee please send me a $12.00 e- transfer to johnnawrocky@gmail.com be sure to put your name in the message of the e-transfer so that I know who sent it. Also your fee will be directly deposited into my bank account therefore no security question is needed.
REQUIREMENTS:
All members must be 18 years old and up. If you bring any guests with you they have to be 16 years old and up. The purpose of the group is to have fun and a great time enjoying the outdoors therefore:
Excessive Profanity will not be tolerated, if you make people uncomfortable by your swearing you will be removed from the group.
This is not a dating site. If I get complaints about you from a member you will be removed from the group. I understand that sometimes people do meet and start dating over time and that`s fine but if you just start with the group for the purpose to try to pick-up someone or start harassing a member you will be removed from the group.
Disclaimer:
By joining and being a member of the group you and/or any of your guests acknowledge and accept that: I, John Nawrocky and any future hike leader or the Meetup Organization are not liable for any loss incurred by you for any damage done to your vehicle and/or theft of your vehicle {including any contents or personal items left in the vehicle} or bike while coming to the event, during the event and after the event is over. You and/or your guest will not be reimbursed for any loss that might occur. Also, since we are hiking/walking on trails or pathways you and/or your guest acknowledge that accidents happen. If you are injured while on the hike or outing I, John Nawrocky or any future hike leader or the Meetup Organization will not be held accountable, in any way, or be sued for any loss whether financially {for any time off work, etc.} or for any medical needs including any ambulance fee. I or any future hike leader will inform you, to the best of my/our knowledge, of the difficulty level of the hikes. IN THE COLDER MONTHS YOU MUST HAVE PROPER ICERS FOR OVER YOUR HIKING BOOT/SHOES OR YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO JOIN US FOR THE HIKE.
