Introducing Free Life’s Quit Lit Book Club!
We’re launching a Quit Lit Book Club—a space to dive into the powerful, eye-opening world of literature about sobriety, addiction, and rethinking our relationship with alcohol. Quit Lit is a genre dedicated to stories, research, and insights that challenge the dominant drinking culture and offer new ways to approach life alcohol-free.
For our first book, we’re reading Quit Like a Woman by Holly Whitaker. This book was fundamental in reshaping how I think about addiction, alcohol, and the way it’s woven into our society. In many ways, it laid the foundation for Free Life itself.
Quit Like a Woman is a bold, feminist take on sobriety, breaking down how the alcohol industry profits from our dependence and offering a liberating path to an alcohol-free life. Whether you’re sober, sober-curious, or just looking to challenge the norm, this book (and this club) is for you.
Join us for our first gathering on April 16th from 6 to 8 p.m. at Maison Soleil for an honest, thought-provoking discussion. The event is free.
