What we’re about
Welcome!
Our group will be meeting to walk around the many parks and trails in the Harford/Cecil/Baltimore County area. (With the option to travel farther if time and interest allow). We will mostly follow Easy and Medium trails, at a reasonable pace in order to be able to enjoy and appreciate our surroundings. The plan will be to keep the group together as much as possible, or split into a few smaller groups if attendance is high.
Social events can be just about anything! Keeping with the outdoor theme, fairs and festivals will likely feature - though suggestions are always welcome and we hope to schedule a nice variety so there will be something for everyone.
So, if you’re looking to move your body a bit, spend some time in nature, and make new friends - come check us out!
Group Policies
* Everyone is welcome. The more diverse we are, the better our group will be! We want everyone to feel comfortable and have fun - harassment and/or rude behavior will not be tolerated.
* All members must have a profile picture with their full face visible and be identified by at least their first name for safety reasons - and so we can find each other at events.
* Please read the trail description for the walking events ahead of time to gauge if it will be right for you. We are not a hardcore hiking group, but only you know your own abilities and limits.
* If an event is cancelled (for example, due to lack of interest or inclement weather), the organizers will notify the group as soon as possible.
* Please update your RSVP as soon as you are aware of any changes, as a courtesy to the other members.
* For all events hosted by a third party (e.g. the Park Service) please arrive on time. In these cases, we will not wait for late attendees, but will do our best to help you find us once you arrive.
For all other events, we will wait up to 10 minutes at the meeting location.
* Life happens. If you have a last minute issue and cannot attend, please comment in the event listing or event chat as soon as you are able so we are aware.
* After three No Shows without notice or comment, a member may be removed from the group.
