From AI-driven virtual assistants to generative AI creating 3D environments on the fly, AI is poised to amplify XR's impact.
Extended Reality (XR) is the umbrella term used for Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), and Mixed Reality (MR), encompassing all current and future immersive technologies. XR spans the full spectrum of real and virtual environments, offering limitless possibilities. Whether you're a developer, 3D artist, beginner, or enthusiast, you’re welcome here!
This group will host:

As emerging tech evolves, it will touch every industry—manufacturing, healthcare, engineering, education, military, entertainment, and beyond. Virtual and augmented technologies are already providing businesses with significant returns on investment. Workers utilizing AR, for instance, perform tasks faster and with fewer errors. Unlike earlier technologies such as the web or social media, which took decades to fully mature, AI and XR are both evolving at an unprecedented pace. Particularly artificial intelligence! The combination of these fields is transforming industries worldwide, making tools once considered futuristic now mainstream and essential. Whether it’s AI optimizing the design of virtual worlds or enhancing user engagement through personalized experiences, we are entering an era where XR and AI will redefine how we interact with technology.
I’ve been hosting a successful, (former), AI-XR Meetup in San Francisco since 2016 along with my former Silicon Beach Meetup, and am excited to bring this passion back home to Oahu. We officially restarted this group Nov. 2024 as I just moved back home!
