What we’re about
Over the past few years, I’ve met countless clinicians who share a common struggle: they see opportunities to improve care, but they don’t know how to translate those insights into technology. At the same time, I’ve worked with product builders and developers eager to design meaningful health solutions, yet they lack direct access to the real-world challenges clinicians face.
I started this group to bridge that gap. It’s still a work in progress, but the vision is simple: create a space where clinicians, product leaders, and developers can collaborate, learn from one another, and spark new HealthTech ideas. We might share the floor in different meetings, rotate speakers, and host networking events with some fun icebreakers to help everyone connect.
For our first meeting, I’ll share a bit about my own experience—what it was like to work hand-in-hand with a clinician and how that collaboration helped us get our app off the ground. My hope is that this group becomes both a launchpad for ideas and a community where we support each other in bringing better health solutions to life.
ABOUT ME:
I’m Ruby Manadero, co-founder and Chief Product Officer of Bea Better Eating, an emotional eating therapy app I built alongside clinical psychologist Dr. Sera Lavelle. Together, we’re rethinking how technology can support mental health by blending behavioral science, guided AI chat, and hypnosis-inspired micro-exercises rooted in mindfulness.
Dr. Lavelle brings her deep expertise working with patients struggling with eating disorders, while I bring my background in product design and experience scaling digital products. This partnership ensures Bea resonates with users while staying firmly grounded in clinical expertise. Beyond Bea, I’m passionate about connecting clinicians and product builders—because I believe the best health technologies are created when care and tech come together.
