Hidden Gems (food and drink!!)

Hello all, so I was recently recommended this place by a fellow member of the group and it looks a fun time.
The event will require tickets that will most likely sell out. This is straight from the website.

35$ per person- Tickets include One stein of beer and an all you can eat buffet!!!!

Like the old times in Germany, we will roast a whole pig!

Also available will be: Pretzel Crusted Chicken, Sauerbraten, Meatballs,
Sausages, Schnitzels, Spätzle, Sauerkraut, Red Cabbage, Cucumber Salad,
Bean Salad, Beer Radish Salad, Obatzda Cheese w/ Pretzels, and much more!
A Vienna-Style Dessert Station
will also be available!!
There will also be a live band!

I hope to see everyone out there. I just spoke to the management at Munich Haus and we can have all our seating together if we communicate with them about it before hand. Since responses are not the easiest things to come by on a Meetup group, anyone marking their self as going and who responds to my message 2 weeks prior to the event will be included in our group seating. Otherwise I'll catch you at the bar after the food.

The official event here is a Pumpkin Smash. They collect all the old pumpkins used from Jack-O-Lanterns from Halloween and drop them from 30 or so feet. The debris that spreads the furthest wins a prize.

The real event and reason I'm inviting you all out is the Maple Fried dough. This Maple Fried dough is worth the event, worth the trek and worth cancelling plans for. I first heard of this Maple Fried dough from co-workers who told me that people come from far and wide to try it. Not being much of a sweets person, I was very skeptical of all the hype. To my great surprise it was actually every bit as good as everyone raved.I think of this Fried Dough every Fall. This event also marks the last time they will officially be serving it this year.
I have heard that this event gets very busy. To try to minimize the crowding I am recommending we get there early.

The farm itself has a market inside and beautiful outdoor seating that may get full quick. They sell hot food from a grill during normal hours that is also very good and maybe worth a separate event.

Last thing to mention, the only other item they will be selling besides the maple fried dough is a fresh cut basket of fries that is large and also looks delicious. Unfortunately even me with all my appetite can not enjoy both in the same day.

This is a must do if you can come out!
Event starts at 11:00am, I will be arriving at 10:45. Don't be surprised if there is already a line by then

Brunch at Hope and Olive has come highly recommend, I’ve had dinner here before and it was great. I’ve heard brunch is better

So I’ve been to the Roost before and it’s a great little cafe that has a good selection of breakfast and lunch foods along with a variety of drinks that also include beers.

They have a lot of different events here that I’ve never been to and I would love to invite everyone out to one. No clue how popular these are or what to expect but if you want to join I’ll be out there!
