March Project: Resin Photo Keepsakes!
Why Keepsakes in March?
Keepsakes aren’t just for the holidays—they’re meaningful mementos for any occasion! Spring is the perfect time to reflect on your favorite memories or prepare thoughtful gifts for loved ones. These resin keepsakes are versatile, timeless, and easy to display all year long. Whether you’re celebrating a milestone, preserving a cherished moment, or simply enjoying a creative project, this is a fantastic way to express yourself. There's links at the end of the post showing the the epoxy that's best for this. As well as molds.
• Date: March 29th 2025
• Time: 12:30pm-5:30pm (due to the time requirement for this craft we've added extra time onto our regular meeting time)
• Location: High Point Public Library
901 N. Main street
High Point North Carolina.
- What You’ll Need:
• Photos, decorative paper, and/or other items you’d like to display (seal photos if necessary to prevent damage).
• Scissors, ruler, and pencil.
• Silicone molds specifically designed for resin/epoxy.
Tip: Choose molds that are smooth and clear for a professional finish. Shaped molds like hearts or circles are perfect for keepsakes!
Here’s an option to consider.
• Fast-setting epoxy resin (e.g., this one).
Important: Avoid UV resin. Regular resin works too but takes longer to cure.
• A few wooden craft sticks for stirring.
• Straw, toothpicks, paper towels, and parchment paper (optional for easy cleanup).
• Small screw-in eyelets and ribbon or string.
• Gloves for protection.
Important Tip:
Do not wear nice clothes—epoxy doesn’t come out once it gets on fabric!
Finishing Touches:
Once the resin is fully cured, screw in the eyelet, thread your ribbon or string, and admire your beautiful, personalized resin photo keepsake! Whether it’s displayed on a wall, window, or gift package, your creation will be a meaningful reminder of your creativity.
