Hike! Greenville

The Murphy River Walk is an easy 4.3 mile hike with only 88 ft. elevation gain. The walk is a loop that starts and finishes at the L&N Depot.
I'm planning to drive up the day before, staying in Hiawassee, GA. There will be a fireworks show over Lake Chatuge on the 4th of July.

This fantastic trail has a good balance of views, rivers, and diverse forestry. There are plenty of interesting rock features and a stunning view at the top. The trail is lined with beautiful trees and ferns, and there is plenty of shade along it. Depending on recent rain, there may be some creek/river crossings required.

Let's meet at 8:30am the Traveler's Rest Walmart near the garden center. Jodi will be wearing a red baseball cap.
*If you choose not to carpool, please meet us at the Corn Mill Shoals Parking Lot/Access Area on Cascade Lake Road in DuPont State Forest by 10am at the latest.

Don't forget to bring a picnic lunch. :)
