What we’re about
We need collaborative relationships at home, work, and community to achieve individual and group goals. The first requirement for such a relationship is: Listening, Understanding, and Sharing our understanding with the speaker in a respectful manner. We will role play effective listening, utilizing resources like the following.
- Gordon's 12 Roadblocks to Active Listening
- "I am Right, You are Wrong, Now What" Book by Xavier Amador explains the LEAP tools: Listen- Empathize- Agree- Partner. LEAP Institute Videos and Podcasts
- "Listening well - The art of empathic understanding" Book by William Miller
- Reflective listening
- Nonviolent communication (NVC) - 9 one-hour videos narrated by Marshall Rosenberg the founder. An introduction to Nonviolent Communication
Payment
- The FIRST three meetings are FREE for each attendee.
From the fourth meeting, I request each attendee to make some payment via PayPal depending on (1) how helpful was the meeting to them (2) their financial situation. No one will be denied the benefit of these meetings. - Questions?
