What we’re about
🇫🇷🇨🇦🥖🍷Welcome et bienvenue! Whether you’re learning French, already proficient and want to practice, or a native speaker who doesn't get the chance to speak your mother tongue very often here in the Hudson Valley, this is the group for you.
Beginner through advanced are welcome. Bring whatever level of French you have. See you there!

See all- French Conversation Meetup (New Paltz)McGillicuddy's Restaurant & Tap House , New Paltz, NY
Bonjour Ă tous !
Please join us Wednesday, January 15 at McGillicuddy's in New Paltz!
For anyone new to the group: These meetups consist of informal conversation, mostly in French, occasionally English when we get stuck. All levels are welcome. Just bring whatever French you have!
Nous espérons vous y voir !
The venue: Includes a range of pub food, beers, wine, and cocktails. Here's the food menu and drink menu.
Parking: Paid parking ends at 6 p.m. There are two lots on Plattekill Ave near the restaurant; one just behind it and another down a bit by village hall/department of public works. For street parking, Plattekill Ave, Main St, Route 32N (North Chestnut Street) or Church Street are good places to look.
RSVP: Even if you're a regular, please RSVP here and adjust your RSVP if you can't attend. This way we know how many to expect and can arrange accordingly with the venue.
Etiquette note: During our French discussions, please don’t correct others unless someone specifically asks for help. This allows people of all levels to feel more comfortable speaking. Merci d'avance !
Donations: Meetup charges organizers over $300 per year. If you find these meetings useful, consider making a donation of a few dollars, either in cash at the meeting or by Venmo: @William-Dendis
Instagram: Check out our Instagram account. We'll post the same announcements as Meetup, plus other French language and culture content.
Book club: We also have a book club online only under a separate group. Check it out! (After all, reading is a great way to learn.)
