This Meetup has been established to benefit IBM zSystems & LinuxONE customers, business partners or anyone looking to expand their IBM zSystems and LinuxONE skills. Members will learn about new technologies that leverage the IBM zSystems and LinuxONE platforms, and connect with top IBM technical experts. The Meetup events are hosted by the IBM zSystems and LinuxONE Infrastructure Expert Labs consulting organization. Although IBM zSystems Infrastructure Expert Labs Services covers all worldwide accounts, this Meetup group is targeted for those who reside in the North American time zones. For members unable to be onsite, each Meetup event *** will include WebEx access for all presented sessions as well as Q&A.
*** These Meetup events are scheduled to occur twice per year (spring and fall). Live events generally happen in Poughkeepsie, NY or at an IBM facility at 590 Madison Avenue in Manhattan, NY. We do evaluate other IBM facilities within the continental United States.
Format of the Meetup events:
At each event, the North American IBM zSystems and LinuxONE Infrastructure Expert Labs teams will present several technical sessions on current hot topics. In addition, each event will have Q&A sessions that will give you access to many of IBM's top IBM zSystems and LinuxONE expert consultants. Expert Labs consultants are industry experts in IBM zSystems security and compliance, z/OS, z/VM, Linux on z Systems operating systems, networking, Db2, IMS, CICS, WebSphere, z14 and LinuxONE hardware brands, IDAA, Data AI on zSystems, and Blockchain on IBM zSystems.
Who are the IBM zSystems and LinuxONE Infrastructure Expert Labs teams?
The IBM Systems Technology Services teams within the US and abroad are considered the top technical consultants in their field. Over the past 10+ years, the IBM zSystems and LinuxONE Technology Services consultants have worked onsite servicing hundreds of customers including the majority of IBM's largest IBM zSystems accounts. The teams are comprised of the top technical experts each a subject matter expert in their chosen IBM Z and LinuxONE focus area. Many of these consultants have 25+ years of experience and have logged more than 10,000 hours of client-facing work.
What areas does IBM Technology Services cover?
The IBM Z and LinuxONE Infrastructure Expert Labs user groups offer on-site or remote short- to medium-term consulting contract work performing: health check and compliance assessments, systems enablement/implementation services, performance tuning, and both high availability and educational workshops. We cover IBM zSystems hardware and software upgrade services as well as currency and migration related work. Engagements typically range from as little as 40 hours up to several thousand.
