What we’re about
Welcome to the Inverness LGBTQ+ Social Networking group! 🌈 Our community is a safe, supportive space where LGBTQ+ individuals can connect, share, and grow together. Here, you’ll find friends who understand your journey, whether you're navigating coming out to family, exploring self-image, or facing the unique challenges of being gay or trans in a rural setting. We honor and embrace all aspects of identity, including faith and spirituality, as we discover ways to blend our authentic selves with the communities around us.
Beyond discussion, this group is all about fun and connection! From game nights to group activities, we’re building friendships and creating joyful memories in a predominantly straight community. Here, you’re not only accepted—you’re celebrated. Let’s make this a space where everyone feels loved, respected, and, most importantly, free to be who they truly are. 💖
This group is thoughtfully organized and run by two compassionate leaders: one with a degree in theology and a deep understanding of diverse spiritual beliefs and traditions, and the other a Clinical Mental Health Counselor with training in a wide range of emotional needs and mental health issues. Both leaders identify as bisexual, bringing personal understanding and a nurturing approach to create a safe, welcoming environment. Together, they are here to guide, support, and uplift every member, helping each individual find strength, friendship, and peace on their journey.
