I am using the open litter map to track picking up litter. I started a group on the open litter map site for Iowa City. I am hoping you will join the group, and we can meet to share what we are seeing, prevention strategies, team cleanups, and have some fun. You are also welcome and encouraged to join if you would prefer to not use the app as the goal is to reduce litter in Iowa City.

Short notice, but if you can make it this Sunday...let's tackle the South of 6 business district (aka Pepperwood Plaza) for our fist pickup of 2025! We'll meet at the east end of the parking lot (near JD Beauty Supply at the end of the strip mall) and pick up litter for ~1 - 1.5 hours. There is quite a bit of litter collected around the Casey's in that area, so we'll spend some time there and then move west through the parking lot of So6.
Bring your trash grabber and gloves. We will provide bags (and a couple of spare grabbers available to borrow, if needed).
If participants is interested, we can check out Dodge St. Coffee in the South District Market afterward. Hope you can make it!
