What we’re about
We are starting a new Italian conversational group twice a month where we meet for coffee and a small bite to eat (you pay for your own food), speak Italian (all levels; yes even beginners) and we talk about things Italian. From travel to culture at home and in Italy. You do not need to be Italian to join in; just have an interest in the language and culture. As a beginner, this is a great way to begin to learn about Italian culture and language, and as a more advanced speaker it is a great way to keep your language and culture alive, and even teach it to newer Italian speakers.
Who am I and why do I do this? I am part of a larger non-profit group called UNICO (the largest Italian American non-profit service organization in America). UNICO has many native speakers, many non-native speakers, and many English only speakers in the group, but we all have Italian heritage and friendship in common.
While you don't need to be Italian to enjoy our breakfast conversation, if you are Italian, and you are interested in joining UNICO, I can give you information on that as well.
