Welcome to our group! We are a group comprised of Jacksonville people of all ages who like to socialize for fun and business and try a variety of different events.
We attend sporting events, wine tastings,, happy hour parties, business networking events and singles mixers, just to name a few.
Membership in the group is free (although Meetup does charge me to have this Meetup). We have a lot of great events on our calendar. Some events are free, some cost money, some are joint meetups with other meetup groups or postings to join other groups/attend other events. Sometimes there is a discount to prepay or prior registration required so make sure you follow the links and read the instructions. I try to include all the details.

What is Speed Dating?
Enter the fast-paced world of speed dating, where singles have the opportunity to date up to fourteen other singles in one evening.How is this possible, you ask? Each date lasts a mere six minutes. What makes speed dating different from the typical bar scene is that participants have the same objective — to meet a potential companion.
Rules of the Game:
The rules of speed dating are quite simple. A group of singles gathers at a cafe or similar venue. Armed with a name tag, a scorecard and their sparkling personality, couples are paired up to begin their first date. They are allowed to discuss anything.Following six minutes of conversation, a bell is rung, and the men move on to meet their next date.
Following each date, participants mark on a card whether they would have an interest in meeting their date again. If a mutual interest is noted, speed-dating organizers provide each party with the others email.
