What we’re about
Welcome to the Jakarta Social Meet Up Group. We're all on the lookout for good times and new friendships because, let's face it, humans are social creatures! Whether you have a few friends and want to expand your social circle or simply crave more connections, why not join our group?
Our goal is simple: we want to bring together anyone in Jakarta who's eager to make new friends while trying out new and fun activities at the same time.
Each event promises to be a unique experience! From park walks to bowling, language exchanges to day tips, there's something for everyone. The best part?
No specific skills are required for any of the activities — we're all about trying new things, having fun and being sociable.
Our meet-ups are typically be scheduled every week in and around Jakarta, lasting around two or three hours. We'll do our best to keep things centrally located for everyone's convenience.
The group is completely free! Any costs associated with activities will be paid directly to the respective companies or venues hosting the events.
In this group, your input and ideas are always encouraged. If some activities prove to be a hit, we'll gladly arrange them again. We're open to your suggestions because this group is all about creating enjoyable experiences together.
Here are the two main rules for the group to help keep the group vibrant:
Active participation is key. If you’re unable to attend events or engage occasionally, please consider whether this group is the right fit for you.

Be reliable. Confirmed no-shows will be removed to respect everyone's time and efforts.

- 06.15 – Board the car (We wait only 15 minutes for latecomers!)
- 06.30 – Depart for Lembah Purba
- 09.30 – Arrive, stretch, use the toilet, prepare for trekking
- 10.00 – Begin trekking
- 11.30 – Finish trekking, relax, take photos, have lunch (own expense)
- 13.30 – Depart to Goalpara Tea Park
- 14.30 – Explore the tea park and optional activities
- 17.00 – Head to Sukabumi city for dinner (own expense)
- 19.00 – Depart back to Jakarta
- 22.00 – Estimated arrival in Jakarta

Let's make your work day fun! Welcome to our social co-working event where you can get some work done and make new friends at the same time, which is the way co-working should be.
The event is totally fee. We will be co-working at Kopitagram Centang Biru - Kuningan, which is a lovely large cafe with great food and drinks and free Wi-Fi. We will work from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. with a break for lunch for an hour around midday or 1 p.m. However, you can come and work at anytime that suits you.

Here's the lowdown:
- This meet-up will take place on Saturday 19th of July at 17:00. Please be on time.
- First, we will sing Karaoke at Inul Vizta - Melawai and then afterwards go for dinner together nearby.
- We will split the bill evenly for the Karaoke, and you pay extra for any food or beverage.
- Try to come up with a list of five or more songs you would like to sing. This helps get things started!
