Stop Shooting Yourself in The Foot: Quick Wins to Improve Your React App’s Performance
(Opher Vishnia)Your React app is slow, and, yes, it’s kind of your fault.
But don’t worry—you didn’t sabotage it all at once.
It happened slowly, over time, without you even realizing. The good news is you’re not alone.
React is riddled with common performance pitfalls that developers unknowingly create.
From over-rendering components to sneaky state updates that wreak havoc—these issues are easy to overlook if you don’t know what to look for.In this session, you’ll learn how to spot these problems with the right tools and methodologies. Whether you’re an experienced developer or just getting started with React, you’ll walk away with practical techniques to stop sabotaging your app’s performance—and maybe even your sanity.

The Proxy Zipper - Esoteric Patterns for Practical Performance
(Nik Frank)We were all very excited when proxies landed - I can finally make a workaround for that one library.
But for performance issues?
Let's take a look at a real-world pattern for huge performance gains while zipping together two streams using a proxy.
Nik Frank, a long time JS-il attendee, speaker, community member - and a true believer in the language.
He is now living in Jerusalem working at Mobileye.

Runtime Performance Optimization in Production
(Yonatan Kra)What do the event loop, rendering, and memory allocation in JavaScript have in common? Job Security!
In this talk, we’ll trace the path your application takes—from JavaScript code and CSS styles to the final pixels rendered on the user’s screen. Along the way, we’ll dive into real-world examples of solving performance issues in production, uncovering insights you can immediately apply to your own projects.
Whether you're optimizing critical workflows or addressing subtle slowdowns, this session will provide practical insights to enhance your app's runtime performance.~~~
Yonatan Kra, has been involved in some awesome projects in the academy and the industry - from C/C++ through Matlab to PHP and javascript.
