What we’re about
In order to thrive and process the grief and trauma, we will offer yoga, meditation, tai chi and other mindfulness resources as well as Reiki, Healing Touch and hands on Trauma Therapy and exercises and supply resources such as essential oils, self care and group therapy and movement. These will be free offerings both online and in person on the island of Maui. The trauma and grief are very large and give tools to be able to process and release the trauma of the Wild Fire Tragedy with and integrate these mindful practices as well as physically release trauma.
Challenge
Devastating wildfires ravaged through Lahaina, Maui from a wind storm and destroyed the entire city and killed many of our collective Ohana and there was not adequate notification to residents. This has placed the island, which is already isolated, into deep grief and PTSD from the danger of another fire as well as the loss of their family, friends, homes and businesses.
We seek to allow thousands of residents to thrive and process the events as well as handling the emotional and financial strain that is placed upon the entire community, This is key for the success and rebuilding of our community and creating a safe space to process and move trauma will positively impact all interactions. And promote the peaceful and calm lifestyle to reduce accidents, outbursts and toxic stress. Helping channel the frustrations into action and moving with empathy and awareness.
