Our purpose is one of enabling, encouraging those coming along to enjoy walking in the countryside & the benefits it brings, to our physical & mental health.
Who Should Join This Group? Those who want to enjoy the countryside in the company of others and are prepared to encourage, engage & mutually support each other in pursuit of their pastime.
Helping the Community. Walks will range from short health walks & simply experiencing being in the outdoors, through to more difficult mountain walks under the following titles

Walking For Mental Health
Walking With A Map Learning For Adventures
Walking For Pleasure & Sociability
Walking to Learn
Walking For Adventure, Scrambling Ridges & Summits
Woodland, Forest Bathing
Walks will ALWAYS be at an easy pace

IMPORTANT: A FEW THINGS TO HELP US GET THE MOST OUT OF OUR GROUP
‘MOUNTAIN & WELLNESS WALKING’ (M&WW)
When attending these volunteer led walks with M&WW you agree to accept full responsibility for your own safety & further agree not hold the leader or organisation responsible for any accident, injury, or mishap however caused.
‘Group leaders & organisers assume no responsibility for your safety throughout the walk & accept no liability in the event of accident, injury or other loss. When you RSVP Yes, you (& any guests) agree to these conditions’.

Please allow messages from leader, as this allows us to make any last minute emergency changes.

Please use a photo from which you can easily be identified. This is for our safety & yours. No Avatars, Cats, Dogs etc

Please carry personal contact & emergency details in your purse or wallet. A template form will be in photographs. This is essential in case of an incident.

Anyone under the age of 18 need to be under the direct supervision of an adult who remains fully responsible for them, someone who has the agreed equivalent of full parental responsibility for them at a ratio of 1 to 1. An agreement must be signed and young person must appear as a guest of responsible adult.

Most walks will not be suitable for those under 14 year old, so please check with leader, before turning up.

Members need to be over 18 years old before joining.

PLEASE TURN UP: If you put your name down for a walk, first check that you can get there & then actually turn up! Unless you’ve a real emergency please no NO SHOWS or repeat cancellations.

DOGS:
Dogs Allowed on some walks, but only 1pp & a maximum of 3 to the group 1st come 1st served. Must be friendly & remain on a lead at all times.
You must indicate you are bringing one.
PLEASE CHECK HOWEVER AS ON SOME WALKS LANDOWNERS DON’T ALLOW THEM OR ITS NOT SAFE TO BRING THEM.
