Thank you for your interest in Twin Cities dating. At Stassi, we are on a mission to unite hearts and foster connections. As a local women-owned business, we are passionate about helping singles meet, mingle, and discover that special person.
Land of 10,000 dates originally started because one of the founders Laura had recently broken off her engagement and was ready to get back out there. She hadnāt been single and on the market in nearly a decade and found that it was very difficult and daunting to try to meet new people.
Given that many of her friends had young children at home they werenāt in a position to be able to go out often and it can be really intimidating to try to meet people on your own when youāre approaching a group of strangers that are out in public with their friends You feel like they donāt want to be bothered.
Laura and Britleigh had a background in the event industry and decided that they should just set up their own speed dating events so that she could meet local singles and help others do the same in a timely manner in person rather than having to deal with the slow conversations back-and-forth on dating apps, spending countless weeks, talking to finally meet up in person for coffee and find out that there wasnāt a connection in person or that they werenāt who they said they were.
We found that people love being able to get together in person, meeting real people and making real connections in a fun, relaxed atmosphere where whether you come with a friend or you come alone everyoneās all in it together for a mutual reason and looking to meet others. People often come in nervous and decide to give it a whirl and by the end of it everybody has a great time and loves it whether thereās a romantic spark or not people make friend connections or even networking connections, and have a fun time just getting out and meeting new people in Person.
Laura herself is one of our success stories. She met her partner at one of our events over a year ago now and thereās been many other successes since our start as well.
