If you had a surprise day off work tomorrow, what would you WANT do? Would you want to kayak on Mt. Island Lake? Hike up Mt. Mitchell? SUP and chill? Marvel at the sensory explosion that is a Full Moon hike? Latta Outdoor Adventures is the group where people just like you come to find out what Outdoor Adventures are being offered RIGHT NOW at Latta Nature Preserve! We will keep you posted on all the programs for age 12 to Adult. Some are FREE meet-ups. Some cost a few bucks. Don’t have your own gear? No problem. That’s why we are here. Book a tour with us and let the Outdoor Recreation Specialists at Latta do the heavy lifting, literally. Stride along the trails of Latta Nature Preserve and observe its quiet magic throughout the seasons. A skilled naturalist volunteer will accompany you to spark your curiosity in nature and answer questions about the neat plants and animals you’ll see.
This is a moderate, brisk hike. Be prepared to cover up to 4 miles in two hours. Hike will start no later than 9:05am at a new location each time.

Ages 21+ - starting at $35
Sign Up HereSpend the day adventuring as we head to the mountains! Stone Mountain State Park in Roaring Gap, NC is home to a National Natural Landmark, the massive granite monadnock of Stone Mountain. We will hike part of the Stone Mountain trail, covering about 4 miles, with time to explore the homestead at Stone Mountain. This trail is considered an easy trail. Bring a lunch to enjoy on the trail. Transportation included!

Spend your Saturday night under the stars and on the silver screen! Quest will be screening multiple short films featuring America’s Public Lands (and the adventures and stories they tell). Sneak a s’more in between films and make sure to bring your own chair.
