What we’re about

The primary mission of this group is to unite individuals from diverse minority backgrounds, fostering an inclusive community dedicated to creating opportunities and pathways into cybersecurity and government technology careers. Our purpose is to empower members with the resources, guidance, and support they need to succeed in this dynamic and rapidly growing industry.

We aim to bridge the gap for those seeking to break into the field by providing access to mentorship, training, networking opportunities, and career development resources. The group serves as a hub for individuals who are passionate about pursuing various cybersecurity career paths, including RMF (Risk Management Framework), GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance), network engineering, DevOps, digital forensics, penetration testing, cloud security, security architecture, incident response, threat hunting, vulnerability management, security operations (SOC), application security, compliance auditing, identity and access management (IAM), malware analysis, and more.

By fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing, we hope to inspire and prepare members to overcome barriers and challenges in entering and advancing within these fields. Our mission is not only to open doors to new opportunities but also to create a space where members can share experiences, develop technical skills, and build meaningful relationships within the cybersecurity and government technology sectors.

Through workshops, events, and ongoing support, we strive to help individuals from underrepresented backgrounds thrive in their professional journeys and contribute to shaping a more diverse, innovative, and secure future in the field of cybersecurity. Together, we are building a stronger, more inclusive community that is ready to tackle the challenges of tomorrow.
