What we’re about
A group for like-minded people to build strength and power through community during troubled times. We welcome progressives and leftists of every type! Come get to know other progressives! Have fun and relax with other politically and socially progressive people in a variety of different environments! We'll be having pub nights, movie nights, game nights, pizza nights, dinner parties, and anything else that sounds like a fun night. Brainstorm, network, or just enjoy the activities with other people you'll probably like!

These meetings are not for the half-hearted, but for those who will take risks to stop the ICE agenda, and who see ICE for what it is: The New Gestapo. This will be our first in person meeting, and there is no need to RSVP if you feel safer not doing so. In addition to getting to know each other and building trust, we'll be discussing plans for civil resistance and disobedience. We will go over several potential real life actions that the group can participate in that would make a difference in our political fight against fascist forces, as well as hearing from members about their action ideas, and what they are comfortable and passionate about doing. We'll also distribute any information you might need to help.
Finally, we'll decide on actions to take, roles, and execution. We'll continue to prepare for actions in the days that follow. Check out more about the Solidarity Pledge, which this meeting is a chapter of, on their website. You can take action there, or participate with us here at Leftist-Progressive Night Out. The only difference is that with our local chapter, you will have more say in our direction since we have far fewer members. The important thing is acting now before the moment is gone forever, along with members of our community. Come join us, and we will handle whatever tomorrow brings, together.

Welcome to the Leftist-Progressive Book Club! For our next meeting, we'll be discussing the book
***Capitalist Realism: Is There No Alternative? ***by Mark Fisher.
This is a meeting for anyone interested in this book by Mark Fisher. Read and discuss, or if you haven't read it yet, come hang out with like-minded people and get the cliff-notes! This bookstore has amazing Turkish desserts, coffee/tea/espresso, sandwiches, and other dishes available for purchase. Come hungry for good food and great conversation!
How to find us: We will have a table in the back, behind the cafe counter. You can tell the cashier at the register you are here for the meetup group, and they will point you in the right direction.
The Book Club by Leftist-Progressive Night Out is a space for thoughtful discussions on leftist and leftist-adjacent books, or any other books that we find interesting. Whether you’re a longtime reader of progressive literature or you just want to discuss some interesting books, this is the place to engage with great stories, big questions and good company.
