See all- Junction - Snow Free Hike / CampWooly Mammoth Park-N-Ride, Golden, CO
Grand Junction! Not as good as Utah. Not as far as Utah. There are desert canyons, ledgy overlooks, and trails that meander along the Colorado River. What could be a better choice for April if you're kinda sorta done with snow? Join us for a 3 day 2 night BLM camping and hiking experience.
Friday - We'll meet at Wooly Mammoth at noon and head out west. Our first hike will be a steep 3.5 miles rt up Mount Garfield in Palisade, about 1,900 feet of gain! Mount Garfield, Colorado - 1,289 Reviews, Map | AllTrails
Then we'll go find a spot to camp on BLM land, TBD. There is some BLM land near the Devil's Canyon area just south of Fruita, or there are spots up 18 rd and up 21 rd, north of Fruita. After setting up camp, if we feel like it, let's also go do some mileage on the Kokopelli trail system along the River. Maybe a chill 5 miles and 500 ft.

Explore Colorado National Monument Traverse | AllTrailsSunday - Pack up our tents and had back east. Let's stop and do Palisade Upper Rim on the way home. 8.5 miles and 1,500 ft.
