What we’re about
Legstretchers is the long-distance walking group of Norfolk Ramblers. Walks take place on the first Sunday of every month and are between 17 and 22 miles long. There are also social events, trips away and other shorter ad hoc walks.
Non-members are welcome to attend three Ramblers events, but would need to join the Ramblers if they want to keep coming after that. More information about the Ramblers is at http://www.ramblers.org.uk/. Once you join the national organisation, you're welcome to attend any Ramblers event. There is no charge for walks for members, or for those walking with us on their first three walks.
We are very keen to be inclusive and help new members come along, perhaps meeting you at your car, chatting in advance of the walk or introducing to some people on the walk. We want to make it comfortable and easy, as we know that joining a new group can be a bit scary. If you're looking to challenge yourself with longer walks and make new friends, then we hope you want to come along for the adventure :)
Our walks are longer than usual Ramblers walks, so you should be aware that you should be confident you can walk the distance. But, our walk leaders are happy to help and offer guidance on this.
We don't take ourselves too seriously, but we do pride ourselves on excellent walk leaders and a variety of walks around Norfolk. Please e-mail either maria-belle-montagne@outlook.com or stephenandjanet@btinternet.com if you have any questions.

MESSAGE FROM GROUP CO-ORDINATORS
Welcome to a Legstretcher walk. We're a friendly & welcoming group. We're keen to recruit anyone who wants to walk longer distances.
The group isn't intended to be overly serious & although our walk leaders are professional we want to remain a fun group. We're also keen on inclusion.
Bear in mind that we offer longer walks. You must make sure you bring enough to eat & drink (hydration is important).
Remember 18 miles isn't easy for someone new to walking so make sure you're comfortable walking 17 miles at a good pace (3.5mph ie 7 miles in 2 hours).
You'll need to join Ramblers after you've come on 3 Ramblers' walks.
If you have any questions message us on either maria-belle-montagne@outlook.com or stephenandjanet@btinternet.com if you definitely intend to attend.
