Meeting at the Butterfly Gate

This spring, we embarked onto a social and nature-art experiment at the lovely Wilmatte field in the proximity of Lenzburg Castle.

Over the course of three months in the field, alongside friends, family, and strangers, we spent numerous hours of our free time under the blue and sometimes rainy sky, working together, exchanging smiles and treats. Our goal was to transform the monotony of the loan-like field into a more biodiverse and vibrant space attractive for both humans and other living creatures.

With voluntary contributions of time and materials and a lot of enthusiasm while doing something meaningful for the common good, we have accomplished something truly special together- we have woven a GATE THAT INVITES LIFE.

Our social and biodiversity-oriented project has been:

• for everyone
• fostering a sense of togetherness & collaboration
• featuring a woven willow sculpture for visual impact
• boosting local biodiversity with pollinator-feeding plants
• based on voluntary contributions of time and materials
• managed by the EINFACH.GUT association
• located on public land at Wilmatte in Lenzburg.

Now, as the Butterfly Gate project has been completed, marking the culmination of the overarching Einfach Gut experiment, we warmly invite you to celebrate with us!
