Both Meetups offer research based well-being education and practices in a free and public forum, built on values of compassion and service.

Let's Take a Hike is for people who love to hike, walk and mindfully connect to the beauty of nature while experiencing lessons found only in the great out of doors.
We are about building intentional community with others who enjoy the relaxation and evidenced based benefits that relaxing in nature brings http://ngm.nationalgeographic.com/2016/01/call-to-wild-text
We will offer meditative hikes in the NOVA region, Shenandoah National Park and on the Appalachian Trail in Virginia.
Hikers will discover how hiking with others in nature can enhance health and help reduce stress in mind, body and soul in ways that will prepare them to live everyday life in more wholehearted way.

Take a break in nature with us on this monthly walk at Sweet Run State Park. We will explore parts of this beautiful 900-acre park and see what lives in and visits this diverse habitat. This bird walk takes place every fourth Saturday of the month except in December. Meet at the main parking lot near the Interpretive Center; bring binoculars if you have them. The Park is located just north of Neersville at 11661 Harpers Ferry Road (Route 671). Directions can be found on the Park’s website.
Fee Notice: Sweet Run began collecting parking fees on May 6 via self-pay kiosks located at each parking area/entrance. The fee for a standard vehicle is $10. View fee information.

Join Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy’s Young Birding Program and Matt Felperin of NOVA Parks for a bird walk exclusively for young birders at Gilbert’s Corner Regional Park in Aldie. With over 115 bird species observed there, Gilbert’s Corner is one of the best birding hotspots in southwestern Loudoun. Bring binoculars if you have them. Note: This program is exclusively for young birders ages 13-20; a parent/guardian is welcome. Limit 14. Registration required

Join Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy at Ball’s Bluff Regional Park to enjoy all the colors that Mother Nature provides this time of year. Join Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy for a tree-mendous class at Morven Park to learn about tree color in fall. We’ll play fun interactive games, look for signs of fall and learn why trees change color. While all are welcome, activities are ideal for ages 5 to 10. All kids must be accompanied by an adult. We’ll meet at the main parking lot, and then head to the historic area. Limit 12 kids.
