Let's Eat Long Island

The purpose of this meetup is to explore new and well-established restaurants primarily on Long Island, but sometimes elsewhere. We are committed to select excellent restaurants that serve diverse cuisines in diverse areas of Long Island. We are dedicated to the proposition that sharing meals together not only gives us memorable experiences, but also the opportunity to turn strangers into friends.  Many of our members have forged lifelong friendships.

Some norms to adhere to in our group:
• We require a current photo for all new members, so that we may be able to identify you at meetups.  
• We remove members for last-minute cancellations, no-shows, and not logging into our Meetup site.
• We do not allow "plus ones" (a/k/a "guests").  Your membership in this group means 1 seat.
• All checks are settled using cash only. No credit cards. We ask that you total your items, multiply by 1.3.  Then give that to the table host.  
• We do not accept negative banter on the event threads. And....please do not bring up your personal issues and clutter the Comments thread. Private message the event host or one of the organizers. We are happy to help you. 
• We love trying new restaurants, so if you know of one, suggest it as an event.
