If you’re in Orange County and part of the LGBTQ+ community and want to hike every week, start hiking or continue hiking, with your LGBTQ+ community πŸ³β€πŸŒˆ peers. Meet others and make new friends at the same time. The hikes are generally 4-6 mile hikes, 1-2 hrs. Hikes will start at 5:30 pm now that the sun sets early, you will get a good workout. Hiking will vary from beginners (Level 1-2), moderates (Level 2-3), and advanced (Level 3-5). *COVID 19 Policy: It is strongly recommended that members joining a hike get vaccinated. If you are having any symptoms of Covid, please stay home. There will be other hikes.

Dogs: If friendly and allowed on the trail they are welcomed. You will need to check the trails to make sure you can bring them. Not all trails allow dogs. You will also be responsible for the dog and it’s actions.

Member designations:

πŸ³β€πŸŒˆ "Adventurer" - endured extreme inclement weather while hiking with the group, which means the existence of severe rain or abnormal climatic conditions (whether they be those of hail, snow, cold, high wind, severe dust storm, extreme high temperature or the like or any combination thereof) by virtue of which it is either not reasonable or not safe. In addition, an Adventurer will be any hiker who completes at least 25 hikes with this group or has completed several hikes with the group and a competitive event which requires extreme endurance or long distances, or combination of both.

πŸ³β€πŸŒˆ "Explorer" - endured inclement weather while hiking with the group, which means the existence of regular rain or abnormal climatic conditions (whether they be those of severe cold, high wind, extreme high temperature or the like or any combination thereof). In addition, an Explorer will be any hiker who completes at least 10 hikes with this group.

πŸ³β€πŸŒˆ "Marathoner" - Achieved a minimum of five (5) hikes which average around 24-27 miles, the length of a marathon, except it was harder because you had to hike trail terrain. I have given everyone who achieves this status a rainbow flag pin. πŸ³β€πŸŒˆ

HIKING RELEASE OF LIABILITY, WAIVER OF CLAIMS, EXPRESS ASSUMPTION OF RISK AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT Please read and be certain you understand.Β  By signing up to the event, YOU acknowledge that you are fully informed of the inherent hazards and risks associated with hiking.Β  Inherent hazards and risks include but are not limited to: 1. Risk of injury from the activity including the potential for permanent disability and death. 2. Falling, causing broken bones severe injuries to the head, neck and back which may result in severe impairment or even death. 3. All "act of nature," including but not limited to avalanche, rock fall, inclement weather, thunder, and lighting, severe and or varied wind, temperature and other weather conditions. 4. Risks associated with crossing, climbing or down-climbing of rock, streams, waterways. 5. My own negligence and/or the negligence of others, including agents. 6. Cold weather and heat related injuries and illness including but not limited to frostnip, frost bite, heat exhaustion, heat stroke, sunburn, hypothermia and dehydration. 7. Attack by or encounter with insects, reptiles, and/or animals. 8. Accidents or illness occurring in remote places where there are no available medical facilities. 9. Fatigue chill, and/or dizziness, which may diminish my/our reaction time and increase the risk of accident 10. My sense of balance, physical coordination, and ability to follow instructions. I understand the description of these risks is not complete and that unknown or unanticipated risks may result in Injury, illness, or death.Β  In consideration for being permitted to participate in any way in hiking and activities, I hereby agree, acknowledge and appreciate that I HEREBY RELEASE AND HOLD HARMLESS WITH RESPECT TO ANY AND ALL INJURY, DISABILITY, DEATH, or loss or damage to person or property, WHETHER CAUSED BY NEGLIGENCE OR OTHERWISE, the organizer and co-hosts, herein referred to as releasees.
