What we’re about
A friendly group connecting LGBTQIA+ people in Thamesmead, South East London and the surrounding area.
Our regular meetups include a community drop-in, monthly coffee brunches and various socials.
We also organise events such as Thamesmead Shantay, our regular LGBTQIA+ drag, comedy and cabaret fundraiser night.
Whether you've lived locally for a long time or you're new to the area, if you're LGBTQIA+ and looking to make new friends and find support in and around Thamesmead, you are welcome here! 🌈

Thamesmead Shantay is back on Saturday 26 October with our spooktacular Halloween Ball! 🎃
With our devlishly delightful drag hosts, ghoulish games and our frightfully fun-filled Trick or Treat Raffle, this is a night out you won't want to miss! What's more, come in Halloween-themed drag or fancy dress, and you may slither home with one of our scarily sensational costume prizes!
Finally, once all the fun is done, the dancefloor will open up for everyone to enjoy until the end of the night.
Every penny raised goes towards helping LGBT+ Thamesmead to continue to provide community activities, resources and peer-to-peer support networks for LGBTQIA+ residents in Thamesmead and the surrounding area, to create safe nights out and community spaces for local LGBTQIA+ people to enjoy with their friends and families, and to be able to support local LGBTQIA+ entertainers to earn a living wage.

### Guest list reservations
We strongly encourage you to purchase your tickets before the event to guarantee your entry. However, if you are unable to pay in advance, you can contact events@lgbtthamesmead.co.uk to add your name to the guest list and pay for your entry by card or by cash at the door.
Please note however that your name being on the guest list does not guarantee entry to the event should pre-purchased entry tickets sell out.
### Entry without a pre-purchased ticket or guest list reservation
An entry fee of £12 will apply to anyone who arrives without either a ticket or a guest list reservation, unless they have a valid event flyer that advertises discounted entry.

🎨 Expressing your creativity and supporting a fellow LGBT Thamesmead member while you do it - a perfect combination! Join us for an evening at Thamesmead Life Drawing, an art class run by our lovely Zooby each week!
Entry is paid on the door. You'll need to bring your own drawing materials with you.
Partners, family and friends all welcome! You'll just need to ensure that everyone you bring along has registered before coming.
To register your attendance:
- RSVP to this event - this means we'll have a record of your name and your reservation
- Reserve your ticket online before the class time to avoid disappointment
(Please note: this is a class that runs locally and is open to anyone who wants to attend, not an event specifically organised by us, so not everyone attending your session may identify as LGBTQ+.)

Join the LGBT+ Thamesmead team as we battle it out with South East London's finest quizzers for the coveted Halloween quiz champion crown!
Miss Champagne Charlotte will be hosting the petrifying proceedings, which include a fancy dress competition and £10 Halloween cocktails.
Newbies are warmly welcome to come and join us - especially if you're good with general knowledge!
We have a table booked under 'LGBT+ Thamesmead' and will start meeting at the pub from 6:30pm. The quiz will start at 7pm.
It costs £2 per player to take part - please note that this will need to be paid at the venue in cash.
Maximum of 6 players per team. We'll split into multiple teams depending on how many of us arrive on the night.
