Join us for an exciting day of wild foraging and wild crafting as we explore the local landscape and learn how to identify, harvest, and craft with edible plants, and other natural materials! Whether you're a beginner or an experienced forager, this is a fantastic opportunity to connect with nature and get creative with the bounty it offers.
What to Expect:
- A guided walk through the Edgewater Park with an experienced Forager Robin Mari of Mari Botanicals where we’ll identify wild edible plants and other natural materials.
- Learn how to safely forage for wild foods, such as herbs, berries, and greens.
- Discover the art of wild crafting, using foraged plants in cooking, teas, tinctures, and crafting projects.
- A relaxed, educational atmosphere with plenty of opportunities to ask questions and share experiences.
What to Bring:
- Comfortable shoes for walking and exploring.
- A basket or bag to collect any foraged items (optional).
- A notebook and pen for jotting down notes.
- Gloves and a small knife (optional).
- A camera or smartphone for photos (optional).
Who Should Attend:
- Beginners or those new to foraging and crafting.

Important Notes:
- We will meet at Little Mountain Books and Botanica and walk over to the park.
- Please be aware that some wild plants can be poisonous if misidentified. We will teach proper identification and safety measures, but always err on the side of caution when foraging.
- This is a family-friendly event, but children should be supervised.
- In case of inclement weather, the event will be rescheduled or moved to a covered location.
