Do you struggle with keeping plants healthy, but want to grow your own fruits and vegetables to reduce your dependence on the commercialized food supply? Soil quality is a significant part of successful gardening.
Learn to use organic soil quality management techniques to create healthy ecosystems for the plants you want to grow. See how we control the soil quality in the self-watering containers in the Learn & Grow Virtual Sustainability Learning Center and test garden at this event.

The Learn & Grow Educational Series is a nonprofit program of food security and sustainable living instruction. Donations/tips accepted at https://paypal.me/learnandgrow or through a Pledge here on Meetup, above.
Please Note: Because I've had past events crashed by Zoom Bombers, I have taken every possible security measure possible to prevent it from happening again. As such, you need to be signed into your Meetup account once you've RSVPed for this event in order to see the Zoom link to participate.
I will also send out a Direct Message (DM) via Meetup to everyone who RSVPed prior to the start of the meeting that same morning with the link, which you should be able to view once logged into Meetup. If your Meetup account is set up to forward your DMs to your email, you will also get the message in your email inbox.
Nonetheless, I have received reports from legitimate RSVPed participants that they couldn't find the link on the event page and didn't get a DM. Please make sure you don't accidentally have more than one Meetup account! It's possible to have one linked to your Facebook account and another linked to your Google account, for example, and if you log into the wrong one, you won't see the link for this event.
Please verify that you can see the link once you have RSVPed. If you still don't see the link and haven't gotten a DM with it by 20 minutes before the scheduled start time, please DM me directly or post to the event chat to let me know that you can't find the link, and I will DM you directly with the link if you are an RSVPed participant.

- Growing Fruits & Berries in Self-Watering ContainersLink visible for attendees
Growing fruits and berries in self-watering containers is easy if you set things up correctly. From allowing the plants to regulate their own water consumption using sub-irrigation, to making sure the soil conditions are right for each type of plant, once you've put it all together, the seemingly complex systems start working for themselves, saving you a lot of time and effort.
Join us for this online presentation of useful information followed by a Q&A session.
For general information about self-watering containers, please see our list of online events for "The Basics of Self-Watering Containers" or view the video recording of the presentation portion of that event at: https://youtu.be/iN_AFxPzSA0
