What we’re about
Louisville's game development community. We support game developers of all skill levels and backgrounds. We want to create a safe environment where everyone can learn and participate.
We meet bi-weekly, and hold in-person game jams (Ludum Dare, Global Game Jam) several times per year.
Community members use multiple technologies including HTML5, Unity, GameMaker, LÖVE, libGDX, Construct 2, Cocos2d, C++, C#, VB, etc.

See all- Playtesting Day! Play Games to Help DevelopersWarp Zone Louisville, Louisville, KY
Valve CEO Gabe Newell described in-person playtesting as the 'secret-weapon' to the design of their award-winning games such as Portal and Half-Life (Source). Warp Zone Louisville aims to provide that same quality of testing to video game developers in Louisville, and we need your help!
All you have to do is show up at any time during the event and play some games. By observing your behavior, developers can learn a ton about what's working, and what isn't in their game.
We aim to make this event both social, and scientific.
Some developers may want to strike up a conversation as you play their game, while others may silently take notes to avoid interfering with the test.
Some of the games might be incredibly early in development and look rather ugly, while others might be nearing release and looking to sand off remaining rough edges. Testing is vital at all stages of development.
Whether you come alone or with friends, stay for minutes or for hours, try one game or all of them; you are helping shape the future development of these games just by being a part of this event, and playing video games.
