☯ WELCOME TO LUSH which offers day-time and evening events ☯
Lush is a group for independent thinking and professional people who enjoy the arts, travel and culture as well as the countryside. The majority of our members are aged 50+ but younger people (18+) are still very welcome to join. Lush is LGBT-friendly.
Lush offers; theatre, museums, galleries, art-house cinema, crafts and vintage. Lush also regularly posts up breakfast events, restaurants, (dog-friendly) walks and days out, and regular mid-week day-time events. We also organise European breaks (e.g. Madrid, Berlin, Rome, Copenhagen, St Petersberg, Romania) and international holidays (e.g. Hong Kong). You can contribute to the site and add, or propose, your events near you. Events on this site cover Liverpool, Crosby, Southport, the Wirral, Manchester and North Wales. There is a nominal annual fee of £5.00 per year to cover the fee charged by the meetup organisation for the use of their website and to contribute towards the time taken to run and organise the group.
A 'NO SHOW' IS COUNTED AS A FAILURE TO ATTEND AN EVENT/OR FAILING TO CANCEL BY 12.00 MIDDAY THE DAY BEFORE. THREE 'NO SHOWS' WILL LEAD TO REMOVAL FROM LUSH. All meetups take a strong position on 'no shows' which cause extreme difficulty with respect to walks and events requiring booking and reservations - and also denies people on the waiting list an opportunity to attend. Members who have been inactive for more than one year will be automatically removed but are able to re-join at any time.
Lastly, Lush is very grateful to all of our wonderful event hosts who generously give considerable time and effort to organising events for the pleasure of others.
