What we’re about
Let’s create a supportive social group for lesbians/queer women who live in or near Madison within driving distance. I’m grateful to Zero who started this group in 2022 and I hope this continues to be a dynamic group with a variety of events.
Our socials may be at queer/women owned/LGBTQ+ supportive businesses, art events, dances, gaming venues, coffee shops, etc. If you have event suggestions post a comment on our discussion board or send me a direct message on meetup.
This group is intended for building a local lesbian/queer women community. If your agenda is solely looking for romantic partners consider joining dating groups. While organic relationships are encouraged please avoid soliciting members for dating agenda unless the event is specifically for dating, such as speed dating events. We hope to create a space for fun, authentic, safe, and inclusive community socials without the pressure to respond to unsolicited behavior. If you have concerns about harassment please update the organizer or event host immediately. Prior to joining please consider the following 🌿🌿🌿
This group is for members who:
- want to have fun and seek quality social network
- live in or near Madison WI
- have a recognizable member photo
- respect personal boundaries
- bring good vibes and positive, supportive energy
- understand while event hosts create social opportunity, attendees share responsibility for supportive experience
- understand event hosts are not liable for unsafe choices members make and by joining this group members take full responsibility for their own safety
This group is not for members who:
- are no shows, please be considerate and change RSVP if plans change
- disrespect personal boundaries
- do not respect venue/location regulations
- are unicorn hunters. This group is for promoting safe and mutually supportive environment.
